Mr. Fields is a former graduate of Calhoun County High school.  He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from South Carolina State University.  Mr. Fields currently teaches 5th grade ELA and Social Studies at St. Matthews K-8.  He has taught fifth grade for ten years and fourth grade for two. During the course of his 10 years in 5^th grade, four of those years he taught Single-Gendered classes.  His teaching accomplishments include District Teacher of the Year for the Calhoun County School District, Teacher of the Year at St. Matthews K-8, Teacher of the Year at Dover Elementary School, 5 time Top Ten Teaching Award, and more important touching the lives of the students he serves.
