Upon graduation from South Carolina State, I taught special education in the Holly Hill School District before coming to Calhoun County School District.  After teaching in Calhoun County and servious in various additional duties, I was Coordinator of Special Services in Calhoun County for 3 years.  Upon retiring from Calhoun County, I taught special education classes in Orangeburg Consolidated School District 5.  I then returned to Calhoun County Public Schools, and presently teach a Multi-Catergorical Middle School Self-Contained Class.


I am the 6th child of 9, born and raised in Orangeburg, South Carolina.  I was education in the Orangeburg Public School System.  I played several sports and was on the Wilkinson High School, girls basketball championship team all 4 years of high school.  I joined Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Cameron South Carolina, and have been serving in the Sunday School and the mass choir for many years.  I have been serving as board member and treasurer of the Orangeburg-Calhoun Baptist Sunday School Convention since 2004.
