Tamika Fordham Staff Photo

Mrs. Tamika Fordham was selected as 2017 NAACP Teacher of the Year, 2017 STAR Teacher and ​District Teacher of the Year for Calhoun County Public Schools​ for the 2016-2017 school year​. She is married to Mr. Kendrick Fordham and they have one child, Kennedy Fordham. She attended South Carolina State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child Development in 2003 and graudated with honors with her Masters of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education in 2005. She also attended Liberty University where she received her Educational Specialist degree in Leadership with honors in 2008. She served in the United States Army Reserve throughout her college years and most of her teaching profession. She became a highly qualified Early Childhood Generalist Teacher when she earned her National Board Certification in 2014.​ She is also the author and illustrator for Teach Me the Earth's Atmosphere and Teach Me the Solar System children books. She currently teaches fourth grade science and is the Science Department Chair for St. Matthews K8 School.
