My name is MyKeida D Middleton and I teach 6th grade science here at St. Matthews K-8 School. I have enjoyed more than 10 years of successful teaching and learning with Calhoun County Public Schools as a highly qualified educator.  I have worked diligently for and with my students and parents to develop technologically savvy, inquisitive and risk taking thinkers that will thrive in our ever changing global society.  Throughout my career, I have extensive experience with curricula, data analysis, technology integration, facilitating online learning experiences and professional development.  I have a proven record for exceeding goals by utilizing research based strategies and best practices tailored to fit the needs of each of my students indvidually.  I believe that every child has the capability to be successful and show what they know in a way that best suits their learning needs and style.  It is my mission to create the best educational experiences for every child that enters my classroom and will do all I can to encourage students to LEARN and GROW!

In my spare time I enjoy reading, crafting, singing, and spending quality time with my family and friends. I reside in Santee, SC with my fiance' James and precious son Jaxon Lee.  I am also a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church and Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc.
